Foundation Music School is seeking a private violin instructor beginning August 12, 2024.
Foundation Music School is a non-profit community school of the arts committed to providing high quality arts opportunities to individuals of all ages, abilities and incomes. Private teaching: FMS is currently seeking a part-time private violin instructor for approximately 5 hours per week (10 students) to begin with, expanding hours as interested students register for lessons. Private lesson load can be adjusted, depending on candidate availability and number of interested students. Main hours of teaching would be 3pm-7pm (Monday-Friday). Candidates should therefore be available 2-3 days of the week during these hours.

A Bachelor's degree in music (pedagogy, performance, music education, BA) or teaching experience of at least one year at the beginner-early intermediate level is required. Our ideal candidate would be energetic, able to communicate clearly with parents, knowledgeable in multiple approaches to teaching, creative, organized and a team-player.
Between $27.00-$30.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. Teaching hours are paid hourly.
